I was able to get a try-out for the SouthWest Wrestling Association (or something like that), but the CWA signed me right off the bat for opener work. Work on the arms, and bodyslams and stuff will be harder.Īs I said, my wrestler had just started. They can do them, but there is a great chance of the legs buckling under because of weakness. Keep working on your opponents legs, and they wont be able to pull off any moves that require them to use the legs like suplexes and stuff. One thing I didnt even realize before was that each area of the body has something like "hit points" which can wear down with punishment and fatigue. I think its pretty much the same as in the demo. All you can do pretty much with the demo is wrestle in like 2 or 3 matches. I played the demo to death, but the fact that you cant go past the first month really doesnt let you get into things like using the training and fitness instructors, fueds, relationships, etc. My wrestler is a lighweight, a good technical wrestler, and very speedy. Well, I started up a "rookie to legend" career using the DOTT universe I described above. Im looking forward to creating my wrestler and seeing where he goes. I think Dusty was winning the match, but I could stay up any longer. After one hour of game time, I went to bed without getting a clear winner. I had a match last night with Dusty Rhodes (me) VS Rowdy Roddy Piper, in a "I quit" match. Awesome setup if you are into the older wrestlers.
I set up the Destruction of the Territories mod, which has all of the wrestlers from back in the older days of wrestling (well, like 70's, 80's and some 90's), with all of the federations (NWA, AWA, WWF, Carribean, United Wrestling Fed, Pacific NW Wrestling, etc.all of them). I liked games like the old DOS game Piledriver, where you actually had to strategically use you move sets to wrestle in a match. I never really got into the games where you were a booker/owner like TEW. Its kind of like the ITP of the wrestling world (except alot deeper). I picked up the full version of Wrestling Spirit last night, and its been a great game so far, for what I was looking for.
